ASTM D892 Foaming Dual Bath
The Tamson foaming dual bath can be used to test the foaming characteristics of lubrication oils conform ASTM D892, IP 146 and ISO 6247. The Instrument comes with two baths that can independently operated at 24°C and 93.5°C.
Both baths are equipped with two cooling coils and four openings for foaming cylinders. The bath is equipped with a drain, and a separate opening to fill the bath fluid when a foaming cylinder is removed. The stirrer design incorporates a long shaft to ensure excellent temperature uniformity.
The Instrument is supplied with a rack that can be used to hold up to four foaming cylinders, to accommodate sequence II and III of the test method. The Instrument is also supplied with four flowmeters which are calibrated at 94 mL/min. Stoppers and an optional dryer can be mounted on this rack.
The Instrument is supplied with two foaming baths, one rack with four flowmeters, four foaming cylinders, four stoppers and tubing. The Instrument is equipped with a mechanical safety thermostat and a float to alert the user when the bath fluid level has become too low.

Features
The TB30 is a thermostatic bath with 30 litre bath contents. The bath fluid is heated via a micro-processor controlled heating element which guarantees precise temperature control. When working at ambient temperature, a cooling coil offers stable temperature when connected to a chiller or tap water.
Circulated fluid will lower the bath temperature thus enabling stable temperature control. The bath is equipped with fluid level detection and a levelling platform which can be easily adjusted.
The bath temperature can be set to a maximum of +120°C (248°F) in steps of 0.01 degree. The temperature reqadout is menu selectable between °C or °F. The overall system accuracy is 0.02°K.
The bath uses a vane to stir the bath liquid. A special baffle plate ensures maximum homogeneity.
The insulation of the bath and electronic design result in a stable working temperature of ± 0.02°. The display has a resolution of 0.01°C.
The bath conforms to CE regulation. It further is equipped with a mechanical and resettable safety thermostat.
